Barbara is the name and I suppose that’s what we prefer. Did you know why we are named Barbara? Two amazing beautiful girls from London visited me in San Francisco late in 2009. A mutual friend asked me to show them a good time. So I took them down to LA to meet Frank and the crew. They were so incredible. Barbara was their slang; an underground movement: an affinity for the past, a love of the future. It was about our generation grabbing the reigns and creating what we wanted with this shitty, beautiful world we’ve inherited. The overabundance of information as both blessing and curse. Hence, the name Barbara.

Meet Brian Mauleon! He joins Barbara as bassist, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, virtuouso, sound engineer, and all around male ingenue.

He completes us. We like him for his folkier guitar tendencies coupled with his electronic bedroom studio technique.
